Red Seal Carpenter – Brandon, Manitoba

We have partnered with a well-known restoration business located in Brandon Manitoba to search for skilled Red Seal and highly experienced Carpenters to join their team!

The position will help service both residential and commercial clients and is responsible for carrying out all carpentry work of restoration projects under the direction of the assigned Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish carpentry work according to plans and specifications including:
    • Finishing:
      • Casing, baseboards, cabinetry, closet shelving and windows and doors
    • Rough:
      • Framing, stairs, board ups, dry wall repairs and insulation
    • Measuring and estimating supply quantities and required materials;
    • Coordinate job assignments with Project Managers, Coordinators, sub trades as required;
    • Selective demolition and salvaging of materials to be restored;
    • Understand and follow all COR™ safety standards and submit and report all required safety issues and documentation in a timely manner;
    • Act professionally on job site, and communicate effectively with clients;
    • Consistently deliver a high-quality product through detailed craftsmanship, finishing and maintain a clean job site.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Red Seal Carpentry validation with a proven ability to perform work on residential and commercial assignments;
  • 3-5 years experience working in the field of carpentry would be an asset;
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with colleagues & clients;
  • Works well in a team environment where coaching and mentorship is encouraged;
  • Restoration or construction experience would be considered an asset

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence and clean drivers abstract;
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check;
  • Must have tools and steel toe boot;
  • Must be after to lift and move up to 50lbs
