Opportunity Overview

Our client is looking for a Controller to join their team, who will be responsible
for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring that financial transactions are complete
  • Manage company’s daily financial operations
  • Maintain an adequate system of accounting records
  • Maintain inter company balances, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and month-end tasks and requirements
  • Daily cash management including bank reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy of the company’s reported financial results
  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports and financial statements to understand the financial state of the business
  • Supervise all direct reports
  • Responsible for time management system processes and billing functions

Core Skill Requirements

  •  5 to 10 years’ of relevant experience
  • A post-secondary education focused in accounting
  • Professional accounting designation required (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks, Excel and all Microsoft Suite programs
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work
  • Strong communication skills, professional, business-like demeanor with the ability to translate complex financial complex to non-finance individuals.
